As a counsellor, I incorporate therapeutic writing into my approach because I have experienced firsthand its transformative power. In 2016, my fiancé passed away suddenly and tragically. In the midst of overwhelming grief, writing became a lifeline—a place where I could pour out feelings that words alone couldn't express. Through this process, I found clarity and healing, and it’s one of the reasons I advocate for this practice with my clients today. Writing is a deeply personal act that can open doors to healing, helping people explore their emotions, identify patterns, and create meaning from experiences.
